Option 1 – Cultural Glasgow Tour
Pick up from accommodation and experience some of Glasgow`s many Cultural attractions including the magnificent Kelvingrove Art Gallery & Museum where you can spend many hours viewing its stunning attractions from its 22 Galleries with everything from Art to Prehistoric Animals, and Ancient Egypt along with local Scottish History, there is even a full size Spitfire hanging from the roof, all this with no entrance fee. The World famous Burrell Collection, where you can view over 6000 objects under one roof from the private collection of Sir William Burrell and his wife Constance, including some of the most significant Chinese art in the UK, such is the extent of this collection in that it is ranked amongst the most significant Civic Museum collections in the UK , it is without doubt worth a visit. Enjoy lunch in one of the many local establishments. Travel to nearby Castles, including Newark Castle which dates back to 1478 with its charming Jacobean details, nestled on the edge of the Firth of Clyde, where you can enjoy some stunning views. Thereafter returning to your accommodation in time for your evening meal.
Option 2 – Lowland Whisky Tour
Pick up from your accommodation and spend the day enjoying some of the local Whisky and Gin Distilleries that Glasgow and the surrounding area have to offer, including, Clydeside Distillery which as its name suggests is on the banks of the Clyde in the location of the historic Pumphouse which once served the swing bridge of the famous Queens Dock, the Clydeside Distillery is rightly proud to have produced Glasgow`s first single malt in over a century. Glengoyne Distillery situated at Dumgoyne a short drive North of Glasgow close to the pathway made famous by the West Highland Way, has been established since 1833 and ready now for you to taste its award winning Malts. Auchentoshan Distillery which is situated to the west of Glasgow on the road to Loch Lomond was first established in 1823, it is here that this unique Malt which is triple distilled is given a more delicate and sweet flavour from its ex-bourbon barrels. Thereafter returning to your accommodation in time for your evening meal.
Option 3 – Loch-Lomond & Trossachs Tour
Pick up from accommodation and travel North towards Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park, where you will enjoy some of the country`s most beautiful scenery. Including some local attractions like the magnificent Inveraray Castle home of Duke and Duchess of Argyll which dates back to the 14th century and is set in outstanding surroundings. Thereafter travel north towards Oban, where we can visit Oban distillery, one of the smallest in Scotland but with outstanding quality Malts in small numbers. If time allows you then why not go for a small cruise of Loch Lomond aboard a 1953 Paddle steamer where you will enjoy a thoroughly visual and informative tour. Throughout the journey, we will pass through several local villages and towns with individual places of interest and a selection of Restaurants/Cafes. Depending on where your accommodation is placed we can alter the route back to take in the best scenery.
Option 4 – Cultural Edinburgh Tour
Pick up from accommodation and travel towards Edinburgh, the Capital City of Scotland. On route we will visit the famous Kelpies, the worlds largest Equine Sculptures standing over 30M high and weighing 300 tonnes each, these magnificent structures are well worth a visit. Travel on from here towards the centre of Edinburgh where you can visit the magnificent Edinburgh Castle which dates back to the 11th Century and is steeped in history. Take part in one of the many guided tours of Edinburgh on foot. Other places of interest to tempt you include the National Museum of Scotland, and the Palace of Holyrood House, a short distance away berthed at Leith sits the famous, Royal Yacht Britannia. This is just an example of some of the local things to see and do in and around the Capital City of Scotland. Thereafter returning to your accommodation in time for your evening meal.
Option 5 – St Andrew`s Fife Tour
Pick up from accommodation and travel towards, St Andrews, Fyfe, home of Golf at the famous St Andrews Golf Club, host of the Open Championship. Enjoy a tour of the Club and a round of Golf if you fancy, (Extra cost applies). Otherwise enjoy some local attractions through the cobbled streets of St Andrews including, Ruins of the Cathedral of St Andrews, and St Andrews Castle and then take a stroll through St Andrew`s Botanic Garden. again to name but a few of the local attractions on offer in this beautiful part of Scotland. For Whisky and Gin lovers we have a further option to visit the local Kingsbarns Whisky Distillery on the outskirts of St Andrews, where you can enjoy its selection of Single Malt Whisky and Darnley`s Gin. Thereafter returning to your accommodation in time for your evening meal.
