LUXURY WHISKY TOURS OF SCOTLAND
Luxury Highland Scotland Whisky Tours
Scotland is famed for its Whisky history. As a nation, we have long been seen as, the home of Whisky. Why not enjoy this experience in utmost tranquillity and Luxury.
Highland Scotland is probably one of the most popular regions for many famous world renowned Whisky Distilleries including, Balvenie, Macallan, Glenfiddich, Glenfarclas, GlenAllachie, Glenlivet, Aberlour to name but a few. In fact you have the choice of over 50 Distilleries. If you base yourself in Edinburgh, Stirling or Glasgow then you will also enjoy driving through some of Scotland`s most stunning scenery on your way to see your chosen Distilleries, including Cairngorm National Park. On arrival at your Distillery you have the option to either take part in a guided tour (Best booked in advance) , or sample a taste of the many whisky on offer, or simply wonder round the visitor centre/shop, where you either buy your own whisky or even bottle your own from a limited cask, making your visit even more special.
A typical day`s tour enables you to visit up to three Whisky Distilleries, when you are taking advantage of there individual tours, from an experienced staff member. These tours are really worthwhile as you learn and experience unique things about the individual Distilleries that the text books don`t tell you, and then at the end you get the chance to taste some incredible whisky. These typically can range from 1.0 – 2.0 hrs each, depending on the type of tour and prices vary accordingly. I can assist you with this to best suit your needs. These tours require to be paid for in advance.
As part of a daily distillery tour you will also have the option to visit the Speyside Cooperage, which makes and supplies the majority of Whisky barrels for local Distilleries. During this visit you can take part in a guided tour (Best booked in advance), or simply walk round the visitor centre.
I have given an example below of a typical 3 day tour departing from either Edinburgh, Stirling, or Glasgow. These tours involve overnight stay`s at your chosen accommodation, which I can help you choose. Similarly I can tailor the Distilleries to suit your preferred choice.
I can promise that you will not be disappointed with your choice of tour with Glentarra Scottish Tours, and I look forward to welcoming you on an experience of a lifetime.
